Job Description
The ideal candidate is interested in the specialty of ophthalmology, enjoys working with a small team, and desires to provide exceptional client and patient care. The client service representative will assist with providing both medical and surgical ophthalmology services alongside the Ophthalmology Doctors at the Vet Vision Center.
Responsibilities

Efficiently manage the flow of clients through the hospital

Process client invoices and discuss payment plan options, offered discounts when applicable

Answer all incoming calls, triage calls appropriately, take and deliver messages

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the client-facing areas

Schedule appointments for office visits and surgeries

Accommodate walk-in inquiries, emergencies, and medication pick-ups

Aid in managing company e-mails, social media outlets

Assist in obtaining medical records from referring veterinarians

Process client reminders

Offer support and solutions to client in accordance with the company's customer service policies
Skills
-
Able to effectively communicate with clients, staff, technicians, and doctors in a professional manner

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in multiple roles and maintain a positive team focus

Proficient or trainable to work in the practice EMR software, Instinct

Basic knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and common eye conditions, a desire to be proficient in this area

Knowledge of commonly used ophthalmic medications

Has the ability to think critically and listen actively while maintaining a service-oriented attitude

Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action

The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications (e.g. Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.)
Education & Experience

High school or equivalent (preferred)

Veterinary receptionist experience: 1 year (preferred)
